Apollo (Kawai) Bison 60's MIJ electric in Huntsville AL for $250

This seller is offering a very nice looking Apollo that has the typical "Bison" type styling of the Japanese Kawai's. These were Japan's attempt at making higher end electric copies in the late 1960's - and this one appears to be in very nice shape.  Lots of chrome and binding and stylizing - not for the faint of heart.

I had an Apollo baritone years ago and it was a cool, funky, heavy duty garage rock surf guitar.

Magnatone Custom M15 Imperial amplifier in Cincinatti for $500

This seller is offering some lucky buyer a once in a lifetime opportunity - to own a Magnatone M15.. for only $500!   This model is one of the nicest most high end tube amplifiers ever built - four 7189 tubes sending 75 watts of sweet True Vibrato out thru dual stereo output transformers into a pair of 12 inch Jensens.

Truly a life changing experience for the dedicated tone hound.

Worth paying for a second airline ticket so you can fly home with this safely in the seat next to you.  hehe.

Here is a vintage 1966 all tube magnatone m15 combo guitar amp. This one is a real stereo two channel amp. It has been just serviced completely gone through the vibrato works great the reverb is incredible. Read up on this amp. This was $580 in 1966 truly a quality amp. The negatives are the control panel is bent and there are a couple knobs missing. May considered guitar trade. Text 513-***-****

Harmony H-6365 Mohogany Acoustic in Fond Du Lac WI for $100

This seller is offering a Harmony H-6365 which is the later version of the venerable H-165.  Not so much cache as its older brother but still well made in the USA with solid woods and it even has a trussrod. These fly way under the radar since they are later period Harmony guitars but they are very well loved by their owners and apparently play well and sound very nice.   Definitely worth taking a look and a listen.  If it is the bound version and it is in decent shape you will have certainly scored.

There is no pic on the listing so I am showing a generic pic I found online.

HARMONY H6365 6-STRING ACOUSTIC GUITAR

This is an antique guitar but also a great guitar for playing as well.

It is a great guitar whether you want it as an antique or just to play on as I did. Moving so just trying to get rid of the things I don't have room for anymore. I am looking for $100.

Silvertone 1448 w/ Case in Indianapolis for $150

I don't know what is going on with the amp in case part of this but I'd snatch this up in a minute if I were a local.  Silvertone 1448's are just amazing guitars especially for slide, fingerstyle electric and greasy blues.

In fact, I think I am going to go play mine right now... - JC

This guitar has some blemishes and paint chipping. "Carl Harris" is etched into the pick guard. This would be a nice restore project or works fine as is. If your name is Carl Harris then it's meant to be. The neck looks straight and it plays fine with little buzzing around the frets. The case has been mutilated by someone so the amp is no longer in there. You'll get the case along with the guitar. The guitar has a nice baritone sound and is highly sought after in any condition. I've seen similar guitars with the same wear go for well over $200 on eBay. I'm willing to consider OBO but no trades. Thanks for looking!

Greetings, for sale is my black 1961 Supro Coronado, the serial# dates it to 1961-1964. The Res-o-glass body is shiny and clean, the action is set low, the neck is straight and plays like butter. No breaks or repairs ever. It has a three position toggle switch, 1st position is dark, 2nd is mid and 1st is bright. Everything inside and out is original and untampered with. Comes with the original hardshell case. The price is firm, sorry but no trades, cash only. Why by a reissue when you could own the real deal, priced to sell. Here's a link to a few sound samples.

1964 Silvertone 1423L/ H49 Jupiter in Raleigh NC area for $500

These H49 Jupiters are really nice guitars - just ask Spencer Davis. This black Silvertone 1423L is the same model without the curly maple top.  I believe these tops are either spruce or regular maple - but it is the necks and pickups on these that really shine.   H49 Jupiters rank in my top range for Harmony made electrics right alongside the H44 and the H76 so this is definitely one to consider.

This is a really sweet late 1950s/early 60s Danelectro Silvertone Electric with the desirable mid-body pickup. It has been painted but stripped. Right now it is a lovely egg-shell blue, which is a very old coat of paint on it. It plays and sounds awesome. This is the real deal, not a reissue. The neck is straight as a pin and quick. 1966 Epiphone FT45 Cortez Acoustic in Kansas City for $500

This seller is offering a vintage USA Epiphone acoustic for $500.  These USA FT45 Cortez models fly under the radar because they can easily be confused with the Epiphone acoustic models that were made in Japan from 1967 onward - those MIJ models even carried the same type of label inside that said Kalamazoo USA.  But this Cortez is a real USA built model and it is the desirable "Iced Tea burst" finish that easily sets it apart from the similar Gibson LG1's and LGO's coming out of Kalamazoo at that time.  Nice vintage guitar.

1943 harmony Singing Cowboys acoustic w/ case for $100 in San Francisco

This seller is offering a very nice looking H236 "Singing Cowboys" acoustic w case for only $100.  Great deal on a neat collectible guitar.  you can tell this model was made "during the war" because it has the wooden tailpiece harmony used for a brief time while all domestic steel production went towards the U.S. war effort.

I've seen quite a few examples of this model of stenciled guitar and this one looks as nice as any I've seen.

Note:  This model was Reissued by Harmony along with the Gretsch singing cowboy models but don't confuse this original vintage beauty with any of the reissue versions.

1996 Yamaha SA-15 Semi-Hollow electric in NM for $450

This seller is offering a cool and fairly rare Yamaha from the very early days of that company.  Think about what sort of guitars were coming out of Japan in 1966 and compare them to this nicely finished Yamaha. Interesting.  It is styling like this that make Yamaha guitars popular among retro Surf players in Cali.

I've never played one of these but the look is unique and I am sure it plays and sounds nice as well.

Unique styling, great feel and quality construction as to expected from Yamaha of this period. I think they stopped making these in the late 1960s; however, later models have the serial number stamped into the fretboard (this one doesn't). I believe it to be circa 1966. Condition is about 7/10, some nicks and scratches, but appears to be all original and everything works. Almost all of these have a crack by the neck pocket and "stars" around the pickguard screws and this one does as well. This is not a cheap feeling guitar (unlike most Teiscos or similar from the same period), although I think it was Yamaha's entry level semi acoustic at the time. If you've never played a vintage Yamaha you'll probably be surprised. The neck is thin and slightly narrow, the action is medium (I've never adjusted it) but the feel of the guitar is great as is the vibe.

More info on this model (not this guitar):

http://guitarz.blogspot.com/2009/11/yamaha-sa-15.html

You usually see these in sunburst, the maroon ones like this are less common. $450 firm w/hard shell case. I doubt you'll find another one of these in NM. Average e-bay prices are between $600 - $1000 depending upon color and condition. I might trade for boutique pedals of equal value. Guitar trades would have to be something very different (no recent import guitars). I might go for a small vintage tube amp.

E-mail me back or text me at 505-***-****. No phone calls please... it's 2012 after all. I don't think there are any questions that I can't answer over text, and if there were, they can certainly be answered by viewing and playing the guitar.

Thanks,

Derek

Earth G2000 all tube 120 Watt guitar head in Las Vegas for $275

This seller is offering an Earth tube guitar head for $275 which is a good deal but BE FOREWARNED, these amps are incredibly loud.  A guitarist in my old high school cover band used to have one of these and it was louder than our entire 200 watt PA system. There is no master volume on these so when the sweet tube tone kicks in around "3" on the volume you will already be at about 105db.

With that in mind you can get a sweet CCR or Rolling Stones vintage Ampeg guitar tone out of these.

If I remember correctly, these are also good for use as retro keyboard tube amps - the spring reverb really sounds nice too.

The tone of this American-made 120 watt guitar tube amplifier can be described as big and beefy, with huge Fender Twin-like headroom. Rich, chimey cleans. Deep, tube-driven spring reverb.

Takes overdrive, distortion, or fuzz pedals like a dream. My neighbors probably hate me because of this amp. Hear it for yourself.

I've had it since 1999 and have taken great care it ever since. LOTS of tubes with plenty of life in them. It got a full tuneup and cap job about five years ago, but please understand that it's a 30 or 40 year old amp.

1980 Gibson "The Paul" Double Cut in SImi Valley CA for $400

Very unusual to see a double cut version of Gibson's"The Paul."  The Firebrand single cut versions are much more common.  Circa 1980 Gibson Humbuckers in these usually have a nice tone.  I believe these models were made of Walnut but the photos make it appear more like a blonde finish.

Might be worth taking a look if you like interesting and unique Gibson electrics.
