Danelectro DM-10 tube amp in Scranton PA for $125

These little Danelectro's have a circuit are just like the tube amps that went into the 1456 "amp in case" models.  Single 6V6GT output tube and 12AX7 for the preamp and tremolo.    You don't see the Danelectro versions as much as the Silvertones - I think that equivalent model was the 1471 but i could be wrong.

Current Vintage Guitar Deals at GC in thier Used Gear Dept

I've bought several vintage guitars from Guitar Center over the years and it is usually a very good transaction.  The nice part is they box well and ship for cheap (usually about $25) and they will take a return if the guitar turns out to have an undisclosed problem.  That said, it is still Caveat Emptor - "Let the Buyer Beware."   Here is a list of some current Vintage Guitar finds at GC that won't be making it into their "Vintage Room" LOL.   Just call the individual Guitar Center location and talk to a staff member to find out more about these specific guitars.

KENT POLARIS at GC in Dayton OH for $149

This Polaris has a few things going for it, one being the less common cream finish (they are usually sunburst) and this one has a Vibrato tailpiece with the original vibrato arm in place (very unusual).

NATIONAL MIJ Acoustic w/ DeArmond Pickup at GC in Richmond VA for $249

I can speak for the quality or sound of these late's 60's Made in Japan National Acoustics (though this one looks like a pretty fancy model) but the DeArmond pickup in the soundhole of this one is almost worth the price of admission (if it works).

SUPRO STUDENT DELUXE LAP STEEL at GC in SCRANTON PA FOR $249

This Supro Student Deluxe lappie looks alot like my old Supro Comet and it has the same "string thru" pickup that sounds keeelah for dirty blues.

HARMONY H6164 SOVEREIGN ACOUSTIC AT GC in DALLAS TX for $279

Okay, so it isn't an H1264 (Ryan Adams) model but this Sovereign still looks sweet (unless the action is a mile high).  Worth taking a look since this one is the earlier "bound neck" version and should sound good.

Framus Television model electric guitar in NYC for $350

I don't see many of these Framus electric guitars show up on CL so I wanted to point this one out.  These are interesting electrics and the construction quality is quite good.  They were made "on the edge of the Black Forest" in Germany in the 1960's and use complex multi-laminate construction.  Norman's Rare Guitars in LA has offered several Framus electric models over the years and he always stressed how well made they were - though like most European electrics the wiring can be a bit eccentric. that may be why the seller indicates this one needs to be rewired.   The inclusion of the vibrato arm is a big plus because you can go crazy trying to locate the correct arm for one of these.

New Washburn Solid Sitka Top Grand Concert Acoustic or $149 - shipped!

I was browsing the web trying to figure out who is offering the least expensive solid Spruce top acoustic guitar right now and while it looks like Cort holds that honor with their $115 Earth Series dreadnaught model, I stumbled across this Washburn Grand Concert being offered on sale for only $149 at World Music Supply.  This is a pretty fancy looking acoustic with its abalone accents/binding and a nice Solid Sitka top (Alaskan?  that's a new to me but, whatever).  They offer free shpping but I suppose you have to pay tax.  Still that's a good deal. - JC

1960's Harmony H22 Electric bass in Fulton Il for $75

This seller is offering a USA Harmony semi-hollow electric bass for the small fortune of $75.   These are sometimes referred to as the "Batwing" for the giant pic guard that Harmony added to try to cut down on all the feedback from the pair of open F-holes.  These have a nice woody tone.   Great for small intimate gigs or studio work. This one is probably from around 1966 or 1967 based on the "Fender style" headstock.

Rory Gallagher Pistol Slapper Blues

Regular readers of this blog know I am a huge Rory Gallagher fan though I was late to appreciate his greatness (shame on me since my mother was born in Ireland a short ride from his birthplace in Donegal).

This performance of one of his classics "Pistol Slapper Blues" never ceases to amaze me.  I don't even know what you call the style he is playing where he double picks the notes on half the runs but it is mind-boggling.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL READERS

I am reposting items here that are listed on CRAIGSLIST throughout the USA. I am not selling any of these items and I cannot facilitate the sale of anything here - so please do not comment or post questions like "Is this still available?" or "I am interested in your guitar please call me, etc." You need to contact the seller directly by calling the phone number listed on the post or by going to the CL listing and emailing them. NEW FEATURE: Click on the title of the CL Listing inside my post to LINK thru to the original Post. If the original CL listing is deleted the item most likely is no longer available. Thanks for checking out my blog and GOOD LUCK!

Please don't call, contact, bother or harass these sellers long after their post is expired. Take for granted if the listing is over 30 days old that the guitar or amp is LONG GONE! Thank you.
