1960's Framus Atlantic 335 type - Made in Germany - in Seattle for $275

This is n unusual find and for not a lot of money.  A Framus Atlantik - check it out.  If those are Bill Lawrence designed Pickups they must be from back when he still went by Willem Lorenz -and I'd expect that laminate neck to be pretty darn fast.  The German necks are usually nice and thin.  You don't see these guitars come along every day - not in decent shape at this price anyway.

Who said that only the Asians and Americans could make guitars in the 60's? This is a German made Framus, for a store chain in West Germany, crafted about 1966/67. it is an Alantik 6, with the rare open "F" hole. (Most were just painted on. Those crazy Germans....) Pickups were designed by Bill Lawerence, and have a tone between a P90, and a PAF. 22 fret rosewood board, on a multilaminate maple neck. Yes, you read right, Laminate. Same style neck that Teisco from Japan used in the 60's, and that Martin is using today.Bolted on with 4 screws, it's stable beyond belief! AND it has a tremelo!! A single volume and tone control with a 3 wy switch, and it's all ready to belt out those blues! Yes, it is over 40 years old, and has some bump and bruises. And it's red, like a good 335 copy should be.

Sorry, the case was lost to history decades ago.
