This looks like a "transitional" period Swingmaster from the late 1960's. Kay was still making guitars in the USA at this point but they had started to use an occasional Asian part such as the Vibrato tailpiece on this guitar. The Speedbump pickups are unusual on a Swingmaster - they usually had the Barney Kessel "Kleenex Box" pickups and the neck has the teardrop inlays as most of the Kay electric line of this period. The Red Sunburst is a neat addition - most of the Swingmasters I see are tobacco or brown bursts.

Vintage Kay Guitar. Electric Hollowbody. 1960's. Resembles the Speed Demon model but a little different. I can't seem find this one anywhere. Nicks, chips, and scratches but overall in good contition. Plays great. Everything works. Super cool black and white inlay around perimeter. Missing one of the emblems on head and the input has been fixed with a piece of metal. Cool Guitar. Reply to email or call brian @ 949-*********. $250 cash. Pick up only.I can email more detailed pics upon request.
