Kawai / St. George / Kingston Single Pup Electrics Sound Great for Slide (if you can play)!

This video is a great example of how a really good player can make just about any guitar sound great.  Check out this video of an unnamed player peeling off impeccable slide licks on a Kawai electric.  These guitars can be found just about anywhere for very cheep (usually between $100 - $200.

Be sure to take a good look at the pickup on this guitar and the placement.  You can find them easily.

VIntage Japanese electric (Teisco? Guyatone?) in need of a few parts to make it complete. Slab hardwood body, single pickup. Bolt-on mahogany-type neck. It's missing the nut, bridge, two knobs. and four of the tuning pegs.

Parts are available online for these guitars - also I have some parts that might work. It would make a fun project! I just don't have the time.

The "unnamed" slide player you featured on the cheap Japanese electric guitar is actually Bottleneck John. If you Google him you'll see he's actually a bit famous for his slide playing, albeit mostly acoustic. Thanks for sharing his electric slide video.
