Magnatone M10 in Albany NY - needs some work - $300

The seller says this amp need "a 3-prong cord and an overhaul" - I am not sure what that means exactly - but even though it only has an 8 inch speaker the M-10 is a nice amp - and it does have a speaker out to drive larger cabinets. A note the the unexperienced - these Maggie suitcase amps are a PAIN IN THE A** to work on - they layout inside is very tough and it drives techs a little crazy. Just keep that in mind if you're thinking - Oh cool... a cheap maggie. Just a word of caution.

The schematic inside the amp reads 1963. It comes in at around 20 watts of power, about the same as a Deluxe Reverb. This amp has a terrific tweed tone. It has reverb and vibrato. It has an 8" and a 3" speaker. It is a tube amp. It has a built in speaker jack so you can hook it up to bigger speakers. It needs a grounded 3 prong cord installed and an overhaul. For $300 it's a great investment. Check out the Magnatone/Valco forum at yahoo groups for more info. One of the guys there said " any professional musician worth his pro tools should have one of these amps". I'm selling it because I've built one small amp and need the cash to build a bigger one. I'd rather do that than work on vintage gear.
