The K2-L is one of the more desireable Teisco's and with minor tweaking can actually be played out and used as back-up or 2nd guitar for live work. These "German Carved" bodies feel like a smaller version of a Mosrite and the pickups actually have some punch. But the bottom line is these "sharkfin" Teisco's with the 2x4 Headstock are just some of the coolest looking Indie Garage guitars in the hisoty of the guitar biz (IMHO).
This one is a little bit trashed - but not too bad - a perfect specimen would cost a lot more.

I have a vintage Teisco Del Rey K2L electric guitar, probably from 1968. This guitar has a great vintage vibe, a beautiful deep red finish, and is one of the more sought after Japanese Teisco models from the 1960s. Mine, I think, is from 1968. Here are a couple videos of this model guitar in action:

Mine plays great, has the tremolo arm (which is so often missing from these old guitars), and is all original. There are a couple minor things missing: 1) one of the control knobs, 2) a cover for the tremolo unit that is almost always missing on these, 3) the logo and serial number badges. Most of this stuff comes up frequently on Ebay.
Also, it is not in pristine condition. Call it what you want--reliced or road worn--there are quite a few scratches, dings, and a couple areas of missing finish. I've pictured the worst bit on the last pic. None of these effect the playability of this guitar, and I actually think the blemishes make it look much cooler.
Electronics work fine.
