Standel 100 watt 2x15 bass amp in Coalinga CA for $200

This seller is offering what he told me is a Standel S15g for $200. This is not one of the more famous Standel models so it probably comes from the 1970's era and the Santa Ana CA factory owned by CMI (aka Gibson).

Standel is an old and prestigious brand of amps associated with Bob Crooks who built one of the first guitar amp shops here in SoCal as a result of knowing Paul Bigsby. He built a Standel Amp for Merle Travis as early as 1954 - around the same time that Bigsby made Merle one of the first solid body electric guitars.

I like to highlight amps like this because they are rare and they shed some light on the history of electric guitar development here in California. This model is Solid State and probably about 100 watts. The metal faceplate looks pretty rusty but if it is like most Standel products it was built to last for another 50 years.

I think Coalinga is about an hour south of Fresno CA.

Note: There was no photo on the original CL listing but i called the seller and he texted me this photo of the amp. - JC

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL READERS

I am reposting items here that are listed on CRAIGSLIST throughout the USA. I am not selling any of these items and I cannot facilitate the sale of anything here - so please do not comment or post questions like "Is this still available?" or "I am interested in your guitar please call me, etc." You need to contact the seller directly by calling the phone number listed on the post or by going to the CL listing and emailing them. NEW FEATURE: Click on the title of the CL Listing inside my post to LINK thru to the original Post. If the original CL listing is deleted the item most likely is no longer available. Thanks for checking out my blog and GOOD LUCK!

Please don't call, contact, bother or harass these sellers long after their post is expired. Take for granted if the listing is over 30 days old that the guitar or amp is LONG GONE! Thank you.
