Lyra (Teisco) Electric with two Goldfoil pickups in San Pedro CA for $165

Here is another neat little Teisco with a Lyra badge - these "center screw" gold-foil pickups are the same type used by Ry Cooder (yeah I know hype hype hype) so you may like the tone for vintage sounding slide.  Mostly just nice if you like these funky Japanese guitars and are looking for one like this as a 2nd stage axe or for your collection.

Very cool guitar which plays nice and gets a great sound. It is from the late 60s or early 70s and the condition is excellent with very few scratches or dents The pots are a little scratchy but overall everything works including the whammy bar. The brand on the head reads LYRA and the stamp on the neck plate states MADE IN JAPAN. The photos are shown with Les Paul knobs but I have put the original knobs back on. I have gigged with this axe and it handles very nicely with an almost "Strat" like sound.

Teisco Del Rey Vintage guitar model number#E110....This is a great vintage guitar if you like collecting guitars this would be the one for you.......I ts shows some wear and marks for a guitar from this period a good buffing and cleaning would remove some of the grime and it will really look nice!!!!.....This guitar has a great mojo and is fun to play.....great for adding to your collection..........Vintage guitars are increasing in value every day and these are rare and hard to find....Teisco guitars are no exception!!!!!!!! if you are interested pls call 512-699-4215.

1964 Gibson EB-O Bass in Gulfport Mississippi for $900

1964 Gibson EB-0 Bass Guitar in mint condition. Original case (case in poor condition). No belt scratches on back, nor are there any significant scratches on the front other than on the pick guard (which is expected of a played instrument of this age).This bass has all original hardware and original finish. The frets are not worn in any significant manner. The neck is straight and intonation true. Plays excellent. No frozen knobs. Bears the serial Number stamped into Headstock 88223 . This is an SG shaped body and I believe it is considered to be cherry finish. Price is negotiable but I have never held or owned one in better condition than this nor does there seem to be many in this condition available and certainly not at this price. If you look on Ebay you will see that most are selling in the 1500 dollar and up range and none shown are in this good of condition.. You can reach me by cell phone at 228-323-4991. I am a working musician of 20 plus years and have played this bass numerous times. It is a collectors item but will also fullfill your needs at a gig.

Guitar Collection in Spartanburg SC for $3K - 10 Guitars including Prewar Gibson etc.

I spoke to JOHN about these 10 guitars.  His tel number is 864 205 7285 and he seems like a nice guy. He is looking for either $3K for the entire lot or you can discuss individual prices for each of the guitars - obviously some are worth more than others.  MANY of these are project or fixer upper guitars.  Here is what he told me he has in his collection:

GIBSON OO - he says it is one of the "O Guitars" in okay but not prefect shape.  Playable but needs some work. It has the "Gibson is Good Enough" Banner.

GIBSON J-45  - Needs work - needs strings, Tuning Keys and a Bridge.

GIBSON F-Hole acoustic - could be an L5, maybe something else - but it is old. Needs bridge.

HARMONY - Blond Cutaway Acoustic Jazzbox with nice inlays and binding - he says this is a really nice high end Harmony.

SILVERTONE Electric - another very old guitar - sounds like an elec hollowbody or F-hole guitar.

KAY F-hole Acoustic - This one in Excellent shape.

TRUETONE Electric - hollwobody electric but missing the pickup and some knobs.

OAHU (?) type Hawaiian guitar - square neck lap guitar - dark wood.  Complete. 

KAY F-hold Acoustic - no strings.  May need some work.

HARMONY F-hole acoustic in good shape - light color, smaller than full size jazzbox - 3/4 size.

Here's a cool & unusual small guitar amp with its own sound unlike anything else. Made in about 1964 with a 6" speaker and 3 tubes (35W4, 50C5 & 12AU6). Doesn't sound like a Fender, Vox, Marshall, Orange, Mesa or any other well-known brand, but it has a character all its own: kinda gritty, tubey and very cool. Would make a great blues/harp amp. Nice clean tones, and overdrives very well at medium-low volume, perfect for home practice & recording. About 3-5 watts output, with 2 inputs, volume & tone controls. Put a pedal in front and it screams without making your ears bleed...

All the electrolytic caps have been replaced and I've added an isolation transformer & polarized plug. I've also made it so you can swap the speaker for an 8" if desired. It's in very good condition for its age, with the original grill "cloth" which is more like a sheet of tightly woven rattan with a diamond texture. It's pretty quiet, with no unusual hum or crackle.

If you're looking for something different, or just a good-sounding tube amp for home, recording or even your kid, check it out, you won't be disappointed!
