1975 Hagstrom Swede in Mississippi for $375

This looks like a 1975 Hagstrom Swede to me - these were imported by Ampeg from Sweden and had a strong following back in the day.  These are nicely made guitars - very solid build quality, nice woods and decent pickups.    The fact he has the original case is a big plus - nice package for below market price.

This is a beautiful electric guitar in a natural finish that sounds as good as it looks! It comes with its original hard case too. There is one rub on the front of the guitar that is small (maybe one inch long) and could be buffed out.

1968 Teisco K2-L in Wash DC area for $225

The K2-L is one of the more desireable Teisco's and with minor tweaking can actually be played out and used as back-up or 2nd guitar for live work.  These "German Carved" bodies feel like a smaller version of a Mosrite and the pickups actually have some punch.  But the bottom line is these "sharkfin" Teisco's with the 2x4 Headstock are just some of the coolest looking Indie Garage guitars in the hisoty of the guitar biz (IMHO).

This one is a little bit trashed - but not too bad - a perfect specimen would cost a lot more.

I have a vintage Teisco Del Rey K2L electric guitar, probably from 1968. This guitar has a great vintage vibe, a beautiful deep red finish, and is one of the more sought after Japanese Teisco models from the 1960s. Mine, I think, is from 1968. Here are a couple videos of this model guitar in action:

Mine plays great, has the tremolo arm (which is so often missing from these old guitars), and is all original. There are a couple minor things missing: 1) one of the control knobs, 2) a cover for the tremolo unit that is almost always missing on these, 3) the logo and serial number badges. Most of this stuff comes up frequently on Ebay.

Also, it is not in pristine condition. Call it what you want--reliced or road worn--there are quite a few scratches, dings, and a couple areas of missing finish. I've pictured the worst bit on the last pic. None of these effect the playability of this guitar, and I actually think the blemishes make it look much cooler.

Electronics work fine.

Vintage Cowboy Stencil Parlor Guitar in Spokane WA for $75

The seller is calling this a "Toy Guitar" but the Cowboy Guitar collectors out there may recognize this "Wagon Train" model... looks like a 1950's Kay model to me.

Very cool old wooden toy guitar. It has some old autographs which add to it's charm.

Vintage 1930 (?) Silvertone Archtop near Columbus OH for $40

The seller is calling this a 1930 Silvertone archtop which I guess is posible but that would make it older than most Silvertones - I think Sears was selling a similar guitar line called "Supertone" prior to 1940 but you'd have to look that up.  Either way this looks like a nice old Kay or Harmony made archtop for a decent price.

Framus Texan Acoustic in Milwaukee for $200

For some reason these seem to be coming up lately - here is another Framus Texan acoustic.  These are substantial guitars - resonant, booming, loud and sturdy.  They have an auspicious history with Country and less traditional Folk players.

Silvertone 1457 at Swap Meet in Peoria IL for $180

This is a pretty decent looking Silvertone 1457 for the price.  Hopefully the pickups both work - that switch is definitely shot - that's how they break, the throw arm seperates from the switch - I had the same problem on mine and found a cheap Chinese Replacement at Radio Shack that works just fine.  Note that those are ON-OFF-ON SPDT swtiches - so the standard Gibson type pickup switches do not work.

TrueTone (Kay) electric in Roundrock TX for $165

These are great slide guitars - just like the seller says.  They are really neat and unusual and have a sizzling clear tone - thick necks and and nice solid wood bodies.   I can't tell but this one could be red or natural.

Where the heck is Roundrock TX??

Here is a mid 60s vintage TrueTone electric guitar, made by the highly collectible Kay, and this one has pegs for 5 strings. I have been playing it Keith Richards style in an open tuning with a slide, and it has the tone for that job in surplus. Includes original case fitted for its odd bodystyle.$165. 5128255805
