This seller is quoting a high shipping rate but that may be able to be adjusted - especially if you live in Delaware and can pick this one up. The 9013A's are some of the best little 15 watt vintage amps you can find. I've had mine for years and I've bought and sold many other amps but I keep this one.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL READERS
I am reposting items here that are listed on CRAIGSLIST throughout the USA. I am not selling any of these items and I cannot facilitate the sale of anything here - so please do not comment or post questions like "Is this still available?" or "I am interested in your guitar please call me, etc." You need to contact the seller directly by calling the phone number listed on the post or by going to the CL listing and emailing them. NEW FEATURE: Click on the title of the CL Listing inside my post to LINK thru to the original Post. If the original CL listing is deleted the item most likely is no longer available. Thanks for checking out my blog and GOOD LUCK!
Please don't call, contact, bother or harass these sellers long after their post is expired. Take for granted if the listing is over 30 days old that the guitar or amp is LONG GONE! Thank you.

What are the main differences between these and the silvertone 1482s? Are the cabs better built on these? Also, I have heard the 1482s can be very muddy with no top end is it the same with this amp? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThey are very similar as far as the circuit since they have the same tube lineup but the Airline is a larger and more robust cabinet than the Silvertone. Both the 9013 and the 1482 have a nice sharp top end - it is just different from the tone of say a Fender Champ or Princeton. Also, the choice of speaker will make a big difference in the "voice" of the amp. Alnico vs Ceramic, etc.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, thanks Jim. I was thinking of getting an excelsior since I don't have a dual 6v6 amp but then I thought you can still get the old oddball amps that the excelsior is trying to emulate for around the same dough and I stumbled on one of these airlines. I'll have to see what shape it is in
