National Model 16 Valco made tube amp in Reno area for $300
This seller is offering a National Model 16 tube amp. These were made around 1966-67 by Valco in Chicago. For some reason this one has had the Logo and model name completely worn off of the chrome above the speaker grill where it would normally appear. Maybe it just faded over time - it has been nearly 40 years.
The Model 16 is a low wattage amp that is sort of a cross between a Champ and a Princeton. it has a single 6V6 power tube for about 8 watts total but it has Tremolo and a 10-inch ceramic speaker and it comes in a bigger cabinet than a Champ. You won't get thje pristine cleans of a Fender amp but you will get the signature Valco howl and growl.
Old tube amp for sale, from what Ive found on line is that this is
probably a National guitar amplifier. Valco made the amps for National,
Supro, Gretsch, Montgomery Wards and others. The transformers are
stamped 52467XX so it looks like its a '67, the original 10 inch
speaker has been replaced and three caps have been replaced but it still
has its two prong power cord. The amp has a working tremolo and souds
great, breaks up early like most Valco amps do.

I am reposting items here that are listed on CRAIGSLIST throughout the USA. I am not selling any of these items and I cannot facilitate the sale of anything here - so please do not comment or post questions like "Is this still available?" or "I am interested in your guitar please call me, etc." You need to contact the seller directly by calling the phone number listed on the post or by going to the CL listing and emailing them. NEW FEATURE: Click on the title of the CL Listing inside my post to LINK thru to the original Post. If the original CL listing is deleted the item most likely is no longer available. Thanks for checking out my blog and GOOD LUCK!
Please don't call, contact, bother or harass these sellers long after their post is expired. Take for granted if the listing is over 30 days old that the guitar or amp is LONG GONE! Thank you.
