Teisco Melody vintage Tube Combo in Los Angeles area for $50 may need work

This seller is offering one of the nifty little Teisco tube amps from the 1960's.  He says it is missing a tube so we don't know if it works but these are very simple circuits - you could probably replace all the electronic parts for less than $20. And it may work just fine.  The 50C5 output tube on this is the same as a Harmony H303A or any of a dozen small practice size tube amps from the 1960's.    This circuit is very bare bones in that it only has one preamp tube and one output tube.  The tubes for this amp are still cheap and readily available.  It is sort of like a tabletop tube radio from 1950.  There is another version of this amp with a 10 inch speaker and Tremolo - this one has an 8 inch speaker and just volume and tone.

If you want to see a whole bunch of Teisco amps from back in the day check out this photo archive on Flickr (be aware that the Sano amps in his pics are not made by Teisco)

MELODY #61 TEISCO TUBE AMP

Cleaning out the man cave, another project untouched. Its an 1960's Melody #61 Tube amp. I believe these to be made by Teisco. It has one tube but is missing the other, in addition the back plate & a knob is MIA & there is some separation on the box (easy fix though) . Its got a cool red & black fleck vinyl cover. I did not power it up, as it was missing its tubes. Cleaning house, as is.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL READERS

I am reposting items here that are listed on CRAIGSLIST throughout the USA. I am not selling any of these items and I cannot facilitate the sale of anything here - so please do not comment or post questions like "Is this still available?" or "I am interested in your guitar please call me, etc." You need to contact the seller directly by calling the phone number listed on the post or by going to the CL listing and emailing them. NEW FEATURE: Click on the title of the CL Listing inside my post to LINK thru to the original Post. If the original CL listing is deleted the item most likely is no longer available. Thanks for checking out my blog and GOOD LUCK!

Please don't call, contact, bother or harass these sellers long after their post is expired. Take for granted if the listing is over 30 days old that the guitar or amp is LONG GONE! Thank you.
