This would be a great amp to pair with that Silvertone Silhouette and have an awesome all original Vintage setup for $1000 total. I used to own one of these and they are a blast - and they do get loud. Just don't expect to lug it and toss it around carelessly at every crappy bar and club and expect the cabinet to hold up perfectly. That said I've seen plenty of alternative / Indie bands with these amps on stage and they rock the house.
SILVERTONE 1484 - $500 (Napa County)
It all works fine. The 2 12" speaker cabinet totally rips from every amp I've ever tried them on.
Silvertone Silhouette - $500 - Alameda CA
Looks like I spoke to soon - here is another Silhouette aka 1478 this time in Alameda CA and for $500. Thuis one appears to be 100% original with the wooden bridge and open tuners and it is in pretty darn good shape. Back in the day this would have turned up at "Fat Dawg's" in the Bay area. Collectors take note.
Great old harmony built 1478 with original dearmond Rowe silver foil/ gold foil pickups and electronics. Plays and sounds great. Includes gig bag.

Silvertone Silhouette Vintage 60's - In San Diego CA - $400
These Silvertone Silhouettes (aka Harmony Bobcat aka 1478) don't usually turn up for this cheap and this one may already be sold but I had to highlight it based on the feature set and good overall condition for the price. Fans of Annie Clark aka St. Vincent know these guitars can sound awesome and though this one is not all original it does have what many would consider the two upgrades tht make it more managemeble for live performance i.e. upgraded Kluson vintage style tuners and a tuneamatic bridge to replace the wooden one.
I prefer these 2 pickup 1478 versions to the 3 pickup 1488 model Annie plays because hers has the dreaded "rocker switches" that are easy to acccidentally knock while playing. I much prefer the basic 3 way switch on this two pickup model. This one does have a significant "boo boo" on its base but some might say that adds to the vintage charm.
Accoerding to this seller the amp works. Sounds like it just needs a little tune up/ cleaning. If you are in the Twin Cities area you may already be on to of this one. LOL. Might even be worth making the trip. 1484's are great Danelectro made amps. A lot of fun and some have even used them onstage (i.e. Jack White). The cabinets are always the weakest part - that and the flimsy reverb units.
Sears Silvertone Guitar Amp - $100 (Vadnais Heights)
800 county road e east
(google map)
Works. Needs some TLC.
No speakers in cab. I tested on another cabinet and head works and is loud. All pots could use a cleaning and sometimes play quiter until knob is tapped.
Reverb was not working with switch or other switch. Though I can hear slight reverb, it's just not getting through amp.
Has new old stock pair of matched russian 6L6GC tubes.
Back needs a jack for speaker connection. Has just 2 bare speaker wires coming out from back. Both sides work.
Cases are in rough used condition.
Comes with rare original pedal.

This seller is offering a 50+ year old Silvertone U-1 made by Danelectro. This one looks mostly original save the Vol and Tone control knobs which can be found and replaced if you are so inclined. That said, the value of these old Danelectro's is not so much in their 100% original condition (unlike a Fender or Gibson) but in their playability and tone if they have been maintained well over the years. People don't hang Danelectro's on their wall to admire - they play 'em, sometimes damned hard! I've seen several Indie and Alt Country guitarists over the years grab one of these U-1's off a stand and unleash monster licks wit a slide.

Vintage Late 1950s Silvertone Danelectro U1 Guitar - $375
For sale is a late 1950s Silvertone Guitar made by Danelectro, U1
guitar. These guitar are becoming more and more difficult to find,
especially ones in good, playable shape. This specific guitar is (in my
opinion) perfectly aged, showing some gorgeous wear from a life of
playing, but still in great working shape. Great jazz or blues guitar
(it makes a stellar slide guitar). Tone & Volume pots have been
professionally cleaned up and work with no glitches, playing through the
single lipstick pickup. Original hardshell case comes with it,
including the original cord sold with these guitars and a vintage tuner.
A true piece of American music history.

This seller is offering very reasonable prices on several very nice Vintage USA guitars including a beautiful Lyon and Healy and a gorgeous "Kentucky Blue" (which I always thought was a Silvertone made by Harmony but this one clearly has a Kay cakepan pickup attached so gives it a Kay appearance for sure.
I am struggling to resist both of these deals since the Kentucky Blue is one of my favorite Archtops in terms of looks - I mean take a look at that beautiful 50+ year old guitar. Wow! - JC
Out of space and have more to hang so I'm offering 25% off of any guitar
in the booth. Just mention this ad to the proprietor and she'll give
you your discount.
c.1900 Lyon and Healy Lakeside Parlor Guitar- Was $325 Now $243.75.
Built around the turn of the century these are very popular with
collectors. Beautiful woods, classic tone, easy to play.
c. 1920's Truetone Parlor Guitar- Was $165 Now $123.75. Classic delta
blues guitar features a two-way bridge that can be flipped on its side
to set the action higher for slide. Big woody tone. With chipboard gator
case.
c. Mid 50's Kay "Kentucky Blue" Archtop- Was $425 Now $318.75 You're
probably not going to find one of these much cheaper. Essentially a
plywood Kay Archtop with factory hot-rod paint. Features a period
appropriate single coil p/u w/volume knob. Awesome rockabilly axe. With
chipboard case.
c. 1960 Kay "Lead" Tenor Archtop- Was $400 Now $300. Probably the best
made guitar of the bunch. Excellent original condition, finish, woods
and fun to play. Kay probably came out with this to exhaust old archtop
body inventory and called it a "Lead" to appeal to the kids. Comes with
an original Kent floating archtop p/u and chipboard case.
c. Mid 60's Stella "Fender Headstock" Was $95 Now $71.25. Everybody's
had one of these classics at one time. This is the smaller parlor-sized
version. Pretty dinged up but very playable.
Unidentified Gretsch Flattop- SOLD! Was $95 Now $71.25. This may be a
90's "Dorado" but its the only one I've ever seen with the Falcon
headstock so I haven't been able to accurately ID this one. The bottom
is pretty buggared up but it's got big bright bluegrass tone, plays
great and comes with it's own hardshell case.
This one looks really nice though I doubt it's anywhere near as old as the seller thinks it is. More likely from the Early 60's. But still a nice loking setneck archtop.
