1974 SG Deluxe in Jacksonville FL area for $900

This is a non-stock early 70's Gibson SG Deluxe (or is it Deluxe SG?) from when Norlin was trying to reduce costs so they added the control plate on the front of the guitar.  This one looks like it is a Walnut body - some people like that in an SG.  It also has full sized humbuckers which is nice since some of these guitars have the black mini humbuckers with the funky (i.e. cheap) flip switches.  This one should be a player - though it's a shame the Bigsby tailpiece is gone.  Still a rare find and a decent price for a 35+ year old Gibby.  Oh and I can't forget for all of the oh-so fussy afficianados out there - it has a "volute." hehe  - JC
