Update: The seller, Dan, sent me several pictures so I am posting them here for the record - of course this guitar sold very quickly - YIPPEE! Turns out one of my readers was able to snag this Wilshire - Congrats to Brandon who got a nice little vintage player for a very good deal. Thanks for the pics, Dan - JC
Yes, you read correctly. This seller didn't originally post any pictures but it sounds like he knows his instrument. Says his father purchased it new in 1965. He kept the original pots and jack and wiring when they were replaced - the only thing you'd need to locate are some original Wilshire control knobs. Not bad if it is as he says it is. Sounds very collectible (and playable) if not a perfect collectors' piece.

for sale is a 1965 Epiphone Wilshire. these guitars are going for 4 times the price of this instrument or more. i am the second owner of this guitar, as my father was the first. it is the cherry finish. the only things i don't have that were original are the control knobs. the pots, jack, and switch have been replaced but i still have the originals. on a scale of one to ten this guitar is a 6/7 in appearance and an 8/9 in playability. a gig bag is included. if you are seriously interested i can email you pictures of the guitar.
