Fender 1982 USA Bullet H-2 in La Mirada CA for $250

This appears to be a 1982 Fender Bullet H2. The 2 humbucker version of the USA made Bullet student guitar that replaced the Mustang and Musicmaster. The paint on this one must have been stripped and refinished to natural since all the original ones were either red or cream. It also looks like the original bridge pickup has been replaced.

According to one blogger post the humbucking pickups in these were designed by John Page at Fender by combining two Mustang pickups into one humbucker. Weirdly efficient.

  1. The translucent brown was a factory color on some USA Bullets. looks very similar to an S-3 Bullet we have here at the compound.

  2. There are also American made h2 bullets in Sunburst. I know because I've had two in that color and still have the better of the two. I absolutely love these pickups in both humbucker and single coil formations. The necks are tiny but very easy and fast to play. If you have big ogre hands it would probably be difficult to play on such a small neck. I also wish the body was thicker but my shoulder doesn't complain. Awesome guitars for the price but please don't buy one for more than $400-$500 (in very good to mint condition). Some people seriously over estimate how much they're worth.
