1978 Guild S-300D Westbury USA made electric in Nashville for $650

This seller is offering a Guild S300-D in Nashville for $650,  These solid body guild electrics fly way below the radar but they are known to be great playing and great sounding guitars by those who've actually played them.  IMHO the S300 is also one of the few "non-standard" guitar shapes to actually work both aesthetically and practically.

The S300-D (the D-stands for Dimarzio pickups) was offered from 1977 to 1982.  It has a mahogany body and set mahogany neck with a 24-fret Ebony fretboard.  The stock pickups were a Dimarzio PAF and a Dimarzio Super Distortion, great for a range of styles from Jazz to Heavy thrash metal.   It's ironic that this guitar is for sale in Nashville because the one style it would probably not be suitable for is Country (which may account for the low asking price).  It looks fairly stock in the photo.  The mini switch on these is not a coil-split as is sometimes stated - it is a "phase reversal switch" which gives that squawky 70's out of phase tone you will either love or hate. LOL.   The asking price on this listing is very good based on current market value.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL READERS

I am reposting items here that are listed on CRAIGSLIST throughout the USA. I am not selling any of these items and I cannot facilitate the sale of anything here - so please do not comment or post questions like "Is this still available?" or "I am interested in your guitar please call me, etc." You need to contact the seller directly by calling the phone number listed on the post or by going to the CL listing and emailing them. NEW FEATURE: Click on the title of the CL Listing inside my post to LINK thru to the original Post. If the original CL listing is deleted the item most likely is no longer available. Thanks for checking out my blog and GOOD LUCK!

Please don't call, contact, bother or harass these sellers long after their post is expired. Take for granted if the listing is over 30 days old that the guitar or amp is LONG GONE! Thank you.
