Dobro Radio Tone Acoustic inMinnetonka MN for $650

I am far from an expert on Resonator guitars but this one looks like a real beauty if you like the Biscuit type wooden bodied models (great for blues and good for country too).

This is a real Dobro from the Dopyera Brothers who were the original guitar makers who started National way back when.

Note: the buyer says $700 in the listing but the Title line says $650 so he must have opted to lower the price.

This is a very cool 1930's Hawaiian Radio-Tone wooden resophonic guitar, made by Dobro/National/Regal. It is in very clean all original condition, has the cool "radio-tone" sound holes, a real nice original finish. It has what appears to be a very stable crack on the lower bout and belt buckle rash on the backside. Plays fine. All original except for new strings. $700 with what may be the original case - a canvas end-load case.

  1. Do you know if that's how the tuners are supposed to go? They look backwards.

  2. I think those type of tuners are pretty standard for lap-style playing.

  3. Actually, I think this may have been made by Regal out of Chicago.
