Framus Super Strato in San Diego for $325

I am not a huge fan of Framus electrics but this one is very nice and it is an excellent deal. The Framus pickup is a good design with excellent tonal qualities.

Framus "Strato Super" electric guitar, made in Germany in the 60s. The serial number dates it to 1966, I believe. The guitar is off-white with a tortoise-shell style pickguard. The neck is dead straight and the intonation is spot on. It's also all original: it has two single coils, a Bigsby-type tremelo, adjustable saddles, bolt-on neck.
Many of the English beat bands in the 60s used Framus guitars, so it's easy to replicate that "Mersey Beat" sound with it.

The guitar has a 25" scale (normal guitar scale), though there's quite a bit of distance the strings travel on either side of the bridge and the nut, giving the strings a long overall length. As such, thicker gauge strings (.11s, .12s, .13s) seem to suit the guitar better than light-gauge strings (.08s, .09s, .10s). I currently have a set of D'Addario .13s on the guitar, and those seem to suit it quite well. Though not a baritone guitar, per se, it could perhaps be called a guitar with baritone-like qualities. Can work well either way. You can play it in E or tune down to D or C easily. A fun guitar for a cheap price.

Asking $325 OBO.
