1960's Airline / Kay acoustic in Southern CA inland Empire for $100

This seller is offering an Airline Acoustic he believes is made by Kay and the large dot markers on the fretboard would indicate it likely is a Kay made guitar. I can't place anything else about it - it may have been an exclusive Airline (i.e. Montgomery Wards) model. The Spruce top is surprising for such a basic instrument so there is a chance this guitar sounds pretty nice.

Selling an early-60's vintage Airline acoustic made by Kay in Chicago. Full concert-size body. Solid spruce top w/ solid mahagony sides and back. Really nice low action and sweet (read killer) tone that projects well. Working adjustable truss-rod and original tuners that also work well and hold their tune. Just restrung. No breaks, loose bracings, loose neck set or other damage but has some finish checking from age along with a few minor scratches here and there. sorry no case. $100 firm. Call or text 909-**-****. Thanks for looking.

  2. Picked it up yesterday. Funky little guitar, definently has some cosmetic damage but has a really full, bright tone. Fun to play so far.
