Very collectible Goya Rangemaster - though this one is not in perfect condition - still it looks pretty good and seller says it plays well with all electronics working. These are just totally cool guitars - and would look (and sound) great in some cool new Indie Band's Video.

"Probably the most famous Goya guitar and the one that people may have heard of, would be the Goya Rangemaster series of electric guitars. Made between 1965 and 1969, the Rangemaster was used by the likes of Jimi Hendrix during his reign in the late 1960's."

This guitar has been loved and played over these last 40 yrs, but is still in great condition and has years of life still in her. All the electronics work as they should with tons of famous “Rangemaster” variations at your finger tips. My son’s favorite switches are the Lo, Mid, and Hi. As you can see it does have some dings and a little chipping mainly by the headstock, most likely from where it hung. It also has a crack on the front, but nothing that compromises the structural integrity of the guitar. The lower strap pin also needs a little tightening. All it needs is a little TLC. I have taken several pictures to give you a good look, but I encourage you to ask any and all questions. I have tried to describe this beauty as honestly as I can, so bid with confidence. Case is nothing to write home about, but was built to withstand a bomb and does a great job of protecting her. Make no mistake this is a rare find and one you will be proud to show off. This site has tons of great info on the Home page, but this links takes you to a picture of one of these in mint condition:

thinking about snagging this one...what do you think of the price etc?
ReplyDeletePrice is obviously not a steal but nice Goya's don't show up that often - I would base any potential purchase on playing it, feel and sound will be the most critical thing - you could love it or hate it. Remember these were made in the same shops by the same hands that made the Vox guitars. Good luck - and let us know. - JC
ReplyDeleteI've seen ones in better condition go for less.
ReplyDeleteI have an early 1966 Rangemaster 116 SB for sale. It is in very near mint condition and comes with the original case (key included), original string winder, original polish bottle, original truss rod adjustment wrench and a vintage strap that it probably came with when bought. You will never see one in this kind of condition... EVER! All for $995.00 plus $50 for shipping. Email me if interested at rgf7277@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI have a Goya F-11 vintage guitar and would like to find a value. Good condition--none of the links seem to address value to determine a sales price range. Can anyone help?
