These "Shrike" guitars with the wild "L" (or "V") shaped pickups were Greco's top of the line electrics before they became known for their immaculate Les Paul copies in the 1970's. Totally unique and oh so collectible cool - right up there with the Teisco Kawai May Queen for Japanophiles. I have no idea if this one is in working condition but it is the more modernist version with the jagged "f" holes and cool Green burst body. I've always wanted one of these along with a May Queen, a Domino Californian Rebel and an Epiphone Scroll - all unique and quirky Japanese guitar designs. Somebody ought to snatch this one up fast.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL READERS
I am reposting items here that are listed on CRAIGSLIST throughout the USA. I am not selling any of these items and I cannot facilitate the sale of anything here - so please do not comment or post questions like "Is this still available?" or "I am interested in your guitar please call me, etc." You need to contact the seller directly by calling the phone number listed on the post or by going to the CL listing and emailing them. NEW FEATURE: Click on the title of the CL Listing inside my post to LINK thru to the original Post. If the original CL listing is deleted the item most likely is no longer available. Thanks for checking out my blog and GOOD LUCK!
Please don't call, contact, bother or harass these sellers long after their post is expired. Take for granted if the listing is over 30 days old that the guitar or amp is LONG GONE! Thank you.

I did buy this guitar, but it is missing some parts, thats how I stumbled across this listing. Do you know where I can get some parts for it? It is a 12 string but the previous owner removed the other 6 keys, so it is missing a set of tuning keys, pickups and the truss rod cover. Any help I could get would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Frank
ReplyDeleteFrank: Are you saying you bought the specific Shrike pictured here that was being sold in Missouri? What do you mean it is missing "pickups"? If that is the case I fear you may never find them especially for a 12 string - those are extremely rare pickups. - JC
ReplyDeleteYes, I watch craigslist very close in the KC area for different guitars and I am a collector and I didn't have one of these or seen one of these in person. I was hoping to hear something different on the pick ups though... I guess I will just try to sell it on ebay or something then at a later date. I am in no hurry to get rid o it, maybe a set will turn up somewhere... lol! Probably not though... Just my luck! Thanks Frank
