VINTAGE GUITAR DEALS AT GC - Yes - it is possible!

Yes, I know that Guitar Center usually has above market prices for Vintage gear but, occasionally you can still find a deal. And I just spoke to a store manager in Seattle who told me he can ship me a double boxed vintage guitar via Fed Ex for only $12 shipping fee. Did you catch that - Only $12 shipping.

And the nice thing about buying from Guitar Center is you can call them on the phone and have one of the pimple faced kids who work there take the guitar and plug it into an amp and play it for you over the phone and you can ask him to describe it to you in every detail. And you can use a credit card.

I only looked for a few minutes but and there seem to be some good deals available right now - So here are a few current finds at Guitar Center around the country.

GUITAR CENTER, Lynwood WA - a 1978 Gibson SG Standard in vintage White for $799
- I am contemplating buying this one myself - even has the nice trapezoid inlays.

GUITAR CENTER, Little Rock AK - 1978 Gibson RD Standard for $999 (note: they also have an RD Artist for $1299 at another GC Store in Connecticut).

GUITAR CENTER Concord, CA - Gibson SG Classic in Heritage Cherry for $549 (note, the same GC has a Gibson SG in Worn Cherry for $499)

GUITAR CENTER, Abuquerque NM - Gibson 1974 SG Special II (Mahogany) for $695

ALSO:

GUITAR CENTER, Mays Landing NJ - a 1983 Fenfer Concert 60w tube amp (Rivera design) for $450. (I have one of these myself and love it. Great reverb!

  1. Did you offer any of the GC sales guys you spoke with a lower price? I know they often like to haggle... maybe even a slicker deal..? That white SG is very tempting!

I appreciate your comments but please no commercial links or non guitar related conversations. Thank you. - JC

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL READERS

I am reposting items here that are listed on CRAIGSLIST throughout the USA. I am not selling any of these items and I cannot facilitate the sale of anything here - so please do not comment or post questions like "Is this still available?" or "I am interested in your guitar please call me, etc." You need to contact the seller directly by calling the phone number listed on the post or by going to the CL listing and emailing them. NEW FEATURE: Click on the title of the CL Listing inside my post to LINK thru to the original Post. If the original CL listing is deleted the item most likely is no longer available. Thanks for checking out my blog and GOOD LUCK!

Please don't call, contact, bother or harass these sellers long after their post is expired. Take for granted if the listing is over 30 days old that the guitar or amp is LONG GONE! Thank you.
