In very good condition - has all original hardware! Includes steel (slide). Details: Year: 1948 Manufacturer: Harmony Model: Silvertone Case: Original (decent condition) Color: sunburst lacquer Condition: Very Good Description: Silvertone Model Lap Steel Electric Guitar, made by Harmony, c. 1948, made in Chicago, sunburst lacquer finish, wood body. A very good-sounding budget lap steel from the just-postwar Sears Silvertone line. The electronics are very similar to Gibson's 1941 Kalamazoo unit, and it's generally held that CMI sold off the unused stock of these pickups to Chicago builders Harmony and Kay after WWII as they had been superceeded in the company's line. This is a very light but powerful steel and a cool piece of 1940's steel history.Overall length is 31 7/8 in. (81 cm.), 9 in. (22.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 23 in. (584 mm.). Width of nut is 2 in. (51 mm.). Some average wear but nice overall. Very Good Condition. Vintage Guitar Shops are retailing this for $500!! http://www.gbase.com/gear/harmony-silvertone-1948-sunburst-lacquer Cash only sale; no spammers please.
