Here are two vintage 1960's Japanese made Teisco guitars. The red sunburst guitar is a full size electric with two pickups, individual pickup selector switches, boost switch, two volume/one tone controls, tremolo bridge that works (no arm included), height adjustable bridge and a chrome metal pickguard. Condition: lots of smaller dings/chips/marks, etc, typical for an almost 40 year old guitar. This one looks to be all original, but I did install a new input jack as the original was useless. Asking $175. The cream colored guitar is a smaller, short-scale guitar. One pickup, single volume and tone controls, small slider switch (simple on/off function), red tortoise pickguard, height adjustable bridge and a tremolo tailpiece (does not work, but may be fixable). All original with the exception of a new nut and new set of tuners that were recently installed. Condition: ditto the first guitar, also has some scribbling on the back that won't come off. Asking $95. Both guitars work, are clean, play well enough, sound pretty cool and have new strings. These old Teiscos have very distinctive sounding and sought-after pickups - legendary guitarist Ry Cooder has been known for buying up these old Japanese guitars just for the pickups! They make great slide guitars. A great pair for the Teisco collector. Cash/local sale only. If this ad is still up, they are still available.
