Supro Super Combo in Chicago for $275




Nice simple little amp - would go well with a little Supro Lap Steel or as a home studio or practice amp.

$275 – mid-1950s Supro “Super” amplifier. One 12AX7, one 5Y3 rectifier, one 6V6 output tube. Original 8” Jensen P8R speaker, original baby blue tolex. Very similar to Fender Champ of the same era.     Do you know where I can date an old Supro guitar..I beleive it is a Supro Super from about 1961-64 with serial number on the headstock of T53650 Thanks blues4unme@comcast.net

      I believe that would be from about 1962. here is one source for dating Supro's based on Serial numbers - it is discussing lap steels but as far as I know Supro - Valco used the same plates and dating systems for guitars and lap steels. - JC
