Epiphone ET-275 Project Guitar in Fort Worth for $130

These Japanese Crestwoods are great players but this one needs quite a bit of work including pickups, pots, wiring, etc - it will never be the p[rettiest guitar but it could be a nice player.

1970s Epiphone Crestwood ET-275 vintage project electric guitar
This vintage Epiphone Crestwood ET-275 was built in Japan in the 1970's and is currently a little rough, but would make a great project guitar.

This has belonged to a friend of mine since the mid 90's, but he never really completed his project and has decided to let it go.

The neck is straight with the original nut and the frets show normal to little wear for it's age on the rosewood fretboard, but is still a quite playable neck with the great original finish on the maple neck and the entire neck. The original tuners are included, but are currently off of the guitar. The headstock needs some work. There are some chips on the front around the tuner holes and there are multiple sets of screw holes on the back where it looks like different sets of tuners once were, and there is some wood fill puddy that was applied at some point.

The body at some point was painted black, with some runs, and should probably be sanded and re-painted and sealed to look it's best, or you could just leave it as is for more of a relic look since it already has some rubs and scratches on the sides and back. The strap buttons, bridge tremolo (no bar), neck plate and it's screws are all original. The pick guard is a cheap replacement cut out, that was routed for only a Telecaster style single coil in the bridge, but it's an exact cut out that could be used for a new plastic one to be made.

This is being offered exactly as seen in the photos and will come with a gig bag.

Asking $130 cash, but will consider all serious cash offers and possible trades for other music gear.

If this ad is still posted, then this is still available.

This is located in east Fort Worth.

Thanks.

  1. I have an early 70's ET-275, tobacco sunburst, pretty good condition. Since I do not really see these too much it's hard to pin down a sale price for it. I'm thinking around $450 with hard shell case. Any help would be appreciated...
