This is MY GUITAR and I am selling this along with a few others. It is a very coole vintage axe and you don't see too many of these around. I will ship this guitar ANYWHERE in the USA or Canada as long as you pick up the tab. The Hofner pickup in this guitar sounds great - serious P-90 type grunt and bite but quiet as a mouse.

Selling my 1961 HOFNER COLORAMA - very rare, single pickup, red body, funky plastic coated guitar with sweet neck, cream vinyl binding (similar to Airline / Supro/ JB Hutto ) and trapeze tailpiece. This Guitar sounds GREAT!!
These were very popular in England int he early 60's but rarely pop up this side of the pond. I am told this is a humbucking pickup and I believe it because it is very quiet - but the tone is more like a P90 or one of those Airline Jack White pickups to my ears than a regular Humbucker.
Be aware that this guitar is missing a few items - the high E tuner has lost its gear and post - the Tuner itself and knob are all intact - see the photo - it just needs the post and the little open gear; also it needs a rear strap button - it has the front one - and the Volume knob should have a little gold insert - I've seen the knobs on eBay and elsewhere for sale.
Oh and it also includes the ORIGINAL Hofner brownish gold vinyl gig bag - sooo retro cool.
The low asking price reflects a $50 discount to account for the few missing parts - selling the guitar and gig bag together for $325 obo
BNote that this guitar is the exact same vintage as the Hofner 500/1 Viola Bass that Paul McCartney played in the Beatles - they sell for $5K to $7500 or more in good condition if you can find one.
