1966 Teneyck guitar amp in Redondo Beach CA for $25

Very obscure little guitar amp available on West side of Los Angeles - Redondo Beach CA. I think these are solid state - definitely circa 1965-66 but I am actually not sure - Bob Teneyck designed some of the Gemeini amps for ampeg which were tube amps so who knows. And like th seller says - check out that great politically incorrect vintage ad!

It works but sounds kinda weak and distorted.Looks very cool and the panels lights shine downward on the grill for a nice mood lighting effect. It was made in the 60's by Bob Teneyck who used to design for Ampeg. Probably just has a bad solder joint, not sure but shouldn't be too hard to fix,I just don't have the time.Check out the cool ad copy.Probably the most politically incorrect ad for an amp ever! Call from 9am to 11pm for more info or directions.310 560-9765 Bob

  1. I used one of the big Teneyke amps in 1968-69. 200 wats, solid state, 2 15" speakers. Heavy as hell, loud as hell, and generally a piece of crap.

  2. Picked up a used T330 the other day and after some speaker repair Im quite satisfied with the sound and operation of this old amp. Even has a decent tremolo-reverb.

  4. You should check out Robert Teneyck's book on Amazon that includes some history on his amplifier creations "The Shortest Distance between two events is Timing Trains, Planes and Cars No would you believe Piezo-Electric transducers. Gold Mines and Scooters So, Who Cares Those who have to know" By Robert Teneyck. He was just at my home today and is an amazing individual at 85 or so years of age.
