  1. i contacted this seller with great esteem but there are some issues so now im hesitant so im looking for some advice. the bridge is an unoriginal hardtail, though a nice one. was originally a vibriola. original bridge not included. also the pickgaurd was cut to add a strat style middle pup and the body was routed for that same purpose. the route is very clean and well done, they just removed the area between the pups so it looks like a universal route now. otherwise nothing but dings and scratches. i have more pics and high detail at that. if it werent for these issues it would be a steal of a deal. im thinking it might still be a pretty good buy though, but i just dont know. thoughts??

  3. Nelson: If you are considering the resale or collectible value of the guitar you should take those things into serious consideration - however if you are looking at playing and keeping the guitar then consider how it looks sounds and feels and figure that the fact it is a vintage 1966 SG adds at least $1K to whatever player value it has to you. If the pickups are the original Gibson P90's and all the electrics are original that is a big plus - but I'd imagaine the pots and wiring were changed if they added a middle pickup at one time - and note that Vibrolas were often taken off these guitars. If it looks good and plays and sounds great then the value should be obvious. Just don't expect a windfall if yu ever choose to resell it.

I appreciate your comments but please no commercial links or non guitar related conversations. Thank you. - JC

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL READERS

I am reposting items here that are listed on CRAIGSLIST throughout the USA. I am not selling any of these items and I cannot facilitate the sale of anything here - so please do not comment or post questions like "Is this still available?" or "I am interested in your guitar please call me, etc." You need to contact the seller directly by calling the phone number listed on the post or by going to the CL listing and emailing them. NEW FEATURE: Click on the title of the CL Listing inside my post to LINK thru to the original Post. If the original CL listing is deleted the item most likely is no longer available. Thanks for checking out my blog and GOOD LUCK!

Please don't call, contact, bother or harass these sellers long after their post is expired. Take for granted if the listing is over 30 days old that the guitar or amp is LONG GONE! Thank you.
