This early 60's Silvertone Jupiter unfortunately has a scalloped fretboard (aarrghh!!) but it would still be great for slide and some weirdo sitar type playing - or you can swap trhe neck since it is a standard 3 screw Harmony neck anyway. Otherwise it looks pretty good - this madel has the BEST DeArmond pickups (same as Harmony Rocket. 1480 and H76) of this era and the "blend" knob which is cool for getting some extra tones.

This Silvertone was in the family and only owned by one person (an old blues player). It's a definite beauty. All black metal flake paint with a white pick guard. The fretboard has been custom scalloped down for easier play and a louder more bluesy sound. This guitar is about 48 years old, so while its a definite beauty and a must have for collectors and avid blues players alike, it has accumulated minor wear and tear over the years -The frets on the neck were deeply scalloped to suit the previous owners playing style. (This is the main turn off, however its superb for blues and slide guitar) -The pick guard has a small piece missing beside the upper volume knob (which is hardly noticeable because it looks as if it should have always been that way) -Three tuning pegs are missing the tiny nuts on the front of the headstock (Which doesn't effect the playing at all, and can be purchased for next to nothing) -There are a couple cosmetic scratches on the guitar which add to its Vintage charm -And the strap peg closest to the neck is missing (But in all honesty any guitarist would put some straplocks on anyway to protect this baby from any unplanned falls) -Besides that I believe the S and the I are missing from the headstock, but the letters are still clearly visible. I have not bothered to have these minor flaws fixed, because I feel like fixing those little minor bruises takes away from the charm and personality that the guitar has acquired over the years, and because also I have been afraid of detracting from the value in doing so. This is a great guitar that I dearly love and I am only parting with it because I desperately need the money. I am confident who ever buys this guitar can call themselves lucky to have come across this musical treasure. -THIS GUITAR ALSO COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL HARD SHELL CASE!- !Attention!- I have been stuck at home on bed rest due to recent surgery, and have been searching for a game system to occupy my time. So if you are interested in this sweet vintage guitar and have a game system your willing to let go anywhere from old NES up to PS3, then let me know then I am willing to trade this guitar for any games bundle i.e: Gameboy advance with games, DS Lite with games, 360 with games, PS3 with games...etc...If you are interested in this let me know. However you must be local and the games MUST work. This guitar is worth anywhere 800 to 1000 dollars, so please make sure they work first. Thanks. :) Feel free to email me at fluffybassist@aim.com for any questions and/or offers
